At The Pilates Space, our teaching method is rooted in the original method developed by Joseph Pilates, which he referred to as Contrology, the art of using the mind to guide the body with precision, awareness, and intention. Contrology was built on the idea that strength is most powerful when it is controlled, aligned, and integrated throughout the body.
